A Gantt chart with dependencies that reschedules itself
Most delays do not happen in one task. They happen in everything that was waiting on it. Gantt Champ keeps the order of your plan intact: link the tasks once, and when a start or end date changes, the follow-on work moves with it.
How it works
Link tasks finish-to-start
Pick which tasks a task waits on. The timeline draws the link so the order is visible at a glance.
Move one date, the rest follow
Drag a bar or type a new date and every dependent task shifts forward by the same amount, keeping its duration.
Milestones stay in place in the chain
Zero-duration milestones sit in the dependency chain like any other task, so sign-off dates move with the work.
Circular links are refused
If two tasks would end up waiting on each other, the link is rejected instead of quietly breaking the schedule.
Why automatic rescheduling matters
In a spreadsheet, a one-week slip means editing every row underneath it by hand, and one missed row makes the whole plan wrong. Dependency links move those dates for you, so the chart you show on Friday still reflects reality.
Gantt Champ works out the order of the chain before saving anything, so tasks shift in the right sequence however deep the chain runs. Durations are preserved, milestones stay at zero length, and a link that would create a loop is refused with a clear message.
Everything else in the chart
Drag bars and their edges to move or resize work, switch the timeline between days, weeks and months, reorder rows by dragging them, colour each task, and export the whole chart — table and timeline — as a landscape A4 PDF.
